Message From Pastor Ron
Welcome to Christ Lutheran Church!
Grace to you and Peace from God our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, His only Son, our LORD. Christ Lutheran Church is a community of faith who gather together for study of the scriptures, worship, fellowship and service. We welcome long time Lutherans and Christians from every tradition. We welcome those who are new to the faith, those who are believers, those who are questioners, those who have no church home and want to follow Christ and those who have doubts. We invite all people to “Come and see.”
As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we believe that the Holy Scripture is God’s word to the world. Our Lutheran faith is based on a life-transforming story. It is the story of the true God; God who is powerful and patient and has boundless love for all people of the world; God who calls on us to work for justice for the oppressed and to share the Good News in word and deed. It is the story of lives that are changed by their encounter with the Risen Christ. It is the story that brings comfort and strength to people who today live in modern, often unsettling times.
The basic theological teachings of the Lutheran Church are that we are saved by the grace of God alone – not by anything we do. Our salvation is through faith alone – we only need to trust God made known in Christ who promises us forgiveness, life and salvation. The Bible is the norm for faith and life – the true standard by which teachings and doctrines are to be judged.
We have a study time for children and adults from 9 – 10 on Sunday morning before worship, small group Bible studies during the week, and instruction in the Christian faith (catechism) for middle-school students on Wednesday evening. Please check our calendar for details on time and place or contact the church office.
Our worship time is Sunday at 10, with a time for fellowship and coffee after the service. We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion every week.
See you soon!
